Read directions on how to use VLC to access the feeds. It's the most reliable, high-quality way, and, makes taking screenshots/recordings super easy.
There are two video feeds available
Playpen area | rtmp stream |
Inside of hutch, upper story | rtmp stream |
Environmental data is now available. See the past 2 days of temperature/humidity/gas/particulate matter readings here!
VLC is a seriously, totally, completely free, completely open-source, completely privacy-respecting media player that has been around for 22+ years.
Versions for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android can be obtained here.
If you have an iPhone, you can download it from the App Store here.
After installing, you can do
Computers: "Media -> Open Network Stream"
Android: 3 dots "more" -> new stream
iPad: Network -> Open Network Stream
-> paste in the rtmp url from above
This will play the stream in VLC.
On computers, you'll have a "record" and a screenshot control.
On Android, you can enable screenshot controls in settingsa, and, you can select a stream from your recent history, and pin it as an icon on your phone.
Android will also allow you to do "picture-in-picture" mode where you go to your home screen while a video is playing, and it pins the video in a mini-player on top.
On iPhone, you should contemplate making better phone choices in life as the only thing you can do is just watch the video.
(Actually, it might be different for iPhone. I only had an iPad to test.)
